Last couple of weeks we got to “Season Finale” when we used WIZIQ and FlashMeeting sites and they were new and interesting to learn about and to do the virtual meeting with. Simply from being on the outside and watching the meeting and afterward watching the record session I found that the FlashMeeting was more organized, and no confusion was going on; it was queuing and allowing one person at a time to express in their own words what they wanted to say. My experience with WIZIQ was nice and I know most of us said negative thing about it, I guess we could have been more organized ourselves instead. It also possesses the capabilities to limit one person conversation video and audio and live interaction. I wish that I was able to log on FlashMeeting during the session; I would have tried all of its new features.
My comments on the Seesmic video:
The website main page is too dark and black, it was not inviting, and promoting it with the introducer was not too pleasing to the new comers. Overall it was functional and helpful with all its capabilities.
My comments on the voice thread:
It was very interesting to use and complete the task that was assigned to us. It was very easy to use. Also the reply method was Great idea. I hope that the person that starts the video would be able to see all comments. Similarly for Seesmic it may not be with a small icon but you can reply to the video etc… you can make a phone call and text reply as well.
My comments on the comic strip:
I did not spend too much time on this web site but it is somewhat interesting, I review a bit of what I was able to spend time on. It was somewhat cool. I will spend more time on it, maybe after finals since I could not spend more time on it this week.
As mentioned above, it was an informative class, I learned something new every week; I do not think I will be able to use it all in the near future. I have had experience with social networking sites in the past with facebook and myspace. I didn’t realize there were so many out there that are being used. I like to say that I probably hated it half way during the semester but I catch myself bookmarking a lot lately when I never did it before; or “stumble it” some websites since it is in my IExplorer; or I check my facebook applications which I never used before when I used facebook. Many other things keep coming up such as my Daughter Graduation is coming up soon so I put bunch of pictures together and made a video with music for her.
