I will continue to use MS Word for now until I get more practice with ZOHO Writer, I liked the most ZOHO Writer from all the free Software. With the various social networking programs we have used in the class the only one that I have used before is Facebook.
Comparison of Collaboration Tools (Unit of Learning 8)
From this exercise, I would prefer to use Zoho Writer for any type of collaboration activities. Our document was uploaded and published, I believe it was not for read and write, and therefore I made another document and invited everyone in our group as collaborators, once the group got comfortable with the software, the document was re-published. You cannot open document and another collaborator in the same time. Having said that, I still choose Zoho Writer, it was the superior collaboration tool going forward.
Social Networking Site Comparisons-My individual (Learning of Unit 8)
So many sites, software and program are available over the internet to use for keeping in touch or instant messaging. Sites such as Facebook, Ning, LinkedIn, Pownce, & FriendFeed compete with each other to gain popularity among the human population with all languages capabilities for their social networking.I have used several sites for my personal use; and for InfoTechTools, I‘ve learned to join Ning, LinkedIn, Pownce, & FriendFeed. I am growing to like these sites more and more every time I get to using them in depth.
It is my favorite since I can get in touch with all my friend family anywhere. I was and am able to check my friends and relative activities online. I learned to add widgets and join various groups on this site; I have a lot of “add on”; I did subscribe to RSS feeds, blog roll, I can upload videos, pictures, presentations, PDF files. This is the most socially accepted communication sites I did not have any problem finding my friends, classmates, family members.
Ning
It is more for teaching/learning discussion group like our class. I cannot foresee this site to be used for social networking comparing with Facebook. I was able to add blogs, videos, widgets, pictures, discussion groups but you must be part of a group as InfoTechTools. LinkedIn
It is a very nice search site for everything you are looking for; and that how you Digg it. I was able to find so many option for my search for the digital imagery software, it made a bit difficult with all the listing to choose from.
Pownce
It is a nice site similar to Digg; it is a bit difficult to get used to; it was loaded with the options of checking other social networking profiles on other sites keeping the option of leaving messages private or public. It can easier if one can get directly to his/her other social network sites from Pownce without having to log-on and off.
FriendFeed
It is a site that facilitate for it user to ties all their social networking and with the ability to see what and who is in their network is doing on different network. The ability to see a window for everything you post all in one place, without having to log into multiple sites each day. They still need to log to their network for any changes needed.I prefer Facebook as my networking/communicating site. This site is very much used among most people who access the internet, including my circle of friends and family. I will choose Ning for my group work since it has greater discussion & collaboration tools. I also like FriendFeed for quick access of my internet activities.

Released on March 13th, 2008The web applications I fond we many they range from simple editing to near Photoshop qualities. The best by far are Photoshop or Gimp. Those are five online photo editors that I found which they have some functionality, that I would use and they free:
• Fauxto: http://www.splashup.com/Splashup, formerly Fauxto, is a powerful editing tool and photo manager. With all the features professionals use and novices want, it’s easy to use, works in real-time and allows you to edit many images at once. Splashup runs in all browsers, integrates seamlessly with top photo sharing sites, and even has its own file format so you can save your work in progress.
• Picnik: http://www.picnik.com/Photo editing made fun. Picnik makes your photos fabulous with easy to use yet powerful editing tools. Tweak to your heart’s content, then get creative with oodles of effects, fonts, shapes, and frames.
It’s fast, easy, and fun. Picnik is the perfect solution for editing your photos without ever leaving Facebook. Crop, rotate, resize. Fix colors, exposure, and red-eye.
• Picture2Life: http://www.picture2life.com/Tour/Picture2Life is a powerful, but simple and easy-to-use online image editor which also allows you to create collages and animated gif’s (or animations). It works great with your pictures that you already have online.
• Pixenate: http://pixenate.com/Pixenate is the photo editor of choice for photo printing and photo sharing businesses. I would to work more with one until I get very familiar with it. It seems very easy and interesting. Pixenate is online photo editing software that you can use stand-alone or integrate into an existing photo-sharing or photo-printing website. If you provide a photo-based web service, Pixenate can significantly enhance the ’stickiness’ of your website by offering an easy-to-use integrated photo editor that doesn’t require your users to download and install additional software.
• Snipshot: http://www.snipshot.comSimilarly to Pixenate, Snipshot lets you start working on a picture right away by clicking on the browse button and calling up an image from your PC. Alternatively, you can enter a URL of a picture and edit that or just start playing with the sample image displayed on the service’s landing page. Also like Pixenate, Snipshot offers a bookmarklet for you to pick pictures off whatever site you’re visiting, and it goes one better by offering a Firefox extension for right-clicking pictures on web pages for editing.
I went to these websites to understand, a little bit more, about these free online programs; and whenever I found a good statement I attached it with the link to all of them. I tried them briefly but they all worked in both Firefox and Internet Explorer, I would like to advise the use of Photoshop Adobe’s I have read some article about Photoshop online editing could for free. I can only guess how much would be if you have to purchase the actual program to get you online for editing.
It was a bit difficult to DIGG them or Stumble Upon them; so I did it manually.
